Home/Quality & compliance
The paperwork is the product.
A shipment is only as good as the file that travels with it. Here is exactly what we test, what we hold and what we issue per consignment.
Testing
Every lot is released against a result, not a reputation.
Testing is done at the manufacturing or processing site and, where you ask for it, repeated by an independent laboratory before the container is sealed.
Identity & purity
Confirms the material is what the label says and how much of it is the active fraction. For psyllium this is purity percentage and swell volume; for pharma it is assay against the monograph.
Physical parameters
Moisture, particle size and mesh distribution, bulk density, colour and extraneous matter. These are the parameters that decide whether the material behaves in your process.
Microbiology
Total plate count, yeast and mould, coliforms, E. coli and Salmonella. Tightened limits available where your market or customer specification demands them.
Heavy metals
Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury by ICP-MS or AAS, reported per lot against the limits in your specification.
Pesticide residue
Multi-residue screening on agricultural lots, run to EU or destination-market residue limits where required. Essential for organic and EU-bound psyllium.
Foreign matter & allergens
Sieving, metal detection and magnetic separation on psyllium lines, plus allergen and gluten statements where the customer needs them for labelling.
Registrations
What we hold, and what we arrange per shipment.
We separate the two deliberately. A company-level registration is ours to maintain. A consignment-level certificate is issued fresh for your specific container.
Anything marked to confirm is a placeholder in this draft. We will only publish a certification number once the certificate is issued and current.
Traceability
From the mandi lot to the container seal.
If a customer complaint reaches you six months after delivery, you need to know which growing lot and which processing batch it came from. So do we.
Lot recorded at purchase
Purchase lot, growing region and season captured when the raw material is bought.
Batch number assigned
Processing batch linked back to the purchase lots that fed it, with in-process records retained.
CoA against the batch
Test results issued against that batch number, with a retained sample held for the shelf life of the product.
Batch printed on the bag
Batch and best-before marked on every bag, and listed line by line on the packing list.
Inspection
Bring your own inspector. We would rather you did.
Third-party pre-shipment inspection costs a little and settles a lot. We work routinely with SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek and Cotecna, and we are equally happy to load under your own agent or your own staff.
- Drawn-sample testing before the container is stuffed
- Loading supervision with photographs and seal numbers
- Container condition and cleanliness check
- Inspection report released to you directly by the agency, not through us
The honest version, written before there is a dispute.
- NotifyTell us within the window in the sale contract, with photographs
- SampleWe pull our retained sample for the same batch
- TestIndependent lab agreed by both sides, cost shared
- SettleReplacement, credit or price adjustment, in writing
- LearnRoot cause shared with you, not just the outcome
Ask us for the documents before you order.
We do not publish certificates, certificates of analysis or registration documents publicly on this website. Contact the export desk and we will send specimen certificates, a blank certificate of analysis and our standard document set directly, so you can check them against your bank and your customs broker first.
